We founded Straight Cut Contracting in 2015 and since have prided ourselves on building our reputation within our community. 

Donnie Davis is a born and raised resident of Brazoria County. Donnie grew up attending Angleton school district. Donnie would lend a hand during summers to his fathers company (Davis Water Well) drilling and servicing water wells.

Upon HS graduation, Donnie left for USMC boot camp. Donnie earned the title of US Marine in Sept 2006. After spending over 4 years in the Marine Corps as an AV8B Avionics Tech, Donnie began working for Micron Technology as an Equipment Technician. He left Micron and began working for Boeing as an Electrical Systems Tech. He quickly excelled and was promoted to an Electrical Team Lead and spent another year as an Electrical SME (Subject Matter Expert). Donnie led a team of electricians and renovated Boeing’s first ever 787 that was put into production. 

Donnie followed his passion for carpentry and left Boeing and founded Straight Cut Contracting in 2015. 

As the owner of SCC, Donnie has devoted himself and his expertise to helping build a better community. 

Donnie is married to Stacia Davis and together they have one daughter. 

Stacia Davis is the glue that holds the company together, dealing with the clerical/admin side of the business. Growing up in the greater Houston area, Stacia is a 2011 graduate of Cypress Falls HS. She earned her BA from Stephen F Austin. She enjoys dentistry, art, reading, playing the viola and has played with the Houston Symphony. 

As well as assisting with SCC, Stacia has chased her passion in the dentistry field and is currently an office manager.

As of 2026, SCC is the proud builder of several new construction homes and numerous additions along the Texas Gulf Coast. While our expertise is not limited to coastal builds, we have earned the reputation of being one of Texas’ premier coastal builders.
